Adam Simmonds in Primrose Hill is simply a fantastic optician for whom nothing is too much trouble.
First class in every way: eye tests are the most thorough and sophisticated I’ve ever had (with family history noted); the range of glasses (and advice on choices) is fantastic; and Adam himself is highly experienced, knowledgeable and delightful.
Adam is a charming guy and I owe my optical happiness entirely to him.

My wife and I have been going to see Adam for almost ten years and the quality of his work and patient care has been unmatched.
He listens to each of his patients and works with them to find the best solution whether it is eye glasses, contact lenses, or treating dry eye.
His colleague, Immy, is also exceptional and she runs the store impeccably and has a great eye for the appropriate frames to suit any individual taste. The store is a warm and comfortable environment and takes any stress from the process.

From the moment I walked in I felt super at ease. I’ve been wearing glasses since age 12 and many, many years on I have a somewhat fussy combination of issues.
The office equipment is state of the art and Adam is a patient and thoughtful pro. He did scans, checked my glasses and contacts against my most recent prescriptions and thoroughly explained my options and the trade offs.
I walked out feeling great about the assessment and my next steps.
Adam has been taking care of my eyes, and helping me looking fashionable, for 15 years.

I couple of months ago I learned an expensive lesson!
I was away from london and had lost my glasses that Adam had done me. I really needed some for driving so went to a reputable optician that had been recommended to me, got my eyes tested and got some glasses but each time I wore them I felt a bit spaced out and off balance! I thought the hi tech machines read my eyes and told the optician what was needed, I had no idea how the optician read me and my eyes and then decided which direction and how much help was healthy for my eyes.
On getting back home I went straight to Adam and explained and that’s exactly what he did tested my eyes, read the help he felt I needed and did me a new pair of glasses which Im back to comfortable wearing. Lesson learnt, Adam Simmonds is a great optician with the skill of knowing when you are comfortable and happy with the direction he has taken you in.
People that are great at their job have a passion and interest in what they are doing and are constantly looking for improvement in their field, it’s never just texted book!
