JMM’s tribute to Stanley Kubrick, one of the most original filmmakers of all time.
Most of the frames are named for years in his life and based on glasses he actually wore: the 1948 recalls his days as a young staff photographer for Look magazine, while the 1980 aviator follows the pair he wore on the sets of The Shining and Full Metal Jacket.
The 2001 takes its cue from the film itself, a dramatic wraparound inspired by the astronauts’ helmets in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
